Before founding the firm that carries his name, Rick Ostroff was the Assistant for Legislative Affairs for Governor Mario Cuomo, advising the Governor on legislation and serving as liaison between the Governor’s office and the NYS Legislature.
Prior to that, Rick served as Assistant for Regional Affairs advising the Governor on regional and local matters, and assisting local government officials in all areas of state government. He also served as the Director of the Environmental Bond Act, and was the Legislative Coordinator for the New York State Consumer Protection Board.
Before 1994 -
Ostroff Associates is founded with two employees, a few cubicles, and two clients – The NY State Monument Builders Association and The Empire State Restaurant and Tavern Association. OA continues to represent the monument industry as well as The Empire State Restaurant and Tavern Association today.
1995 -
As firm adds clients and staff, OA purchases 12 Sheridan Avenue in downtown Albany.
2005
