Rick Ostroff, Co-Chair of the Upstate New York Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk recently presented CBS 6 News with a sponsorship award in recognition of the outstanding support the station provided for the 2016 Light the Night Walk. As the official media sponsor for the 2016 Light the Night Walk, CBS 6 raised critical awareness for this important event which supports the lifesaving work being done by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Greg Floyd, anchor with CBS 6 News and emcee of last year’s Light the Night Walk, accepted the award.
The Light the Night Walk seeks to bring light to the darkness of cancer through research and cures, and by working to ensure access to treatments for all blood cancer patients. This event brings communities together to celebrate those who are fighting the disease and to honor those we have lost. The Upstate New York 2017 Light the Night Walk will take place on Saturday, October 14th at Siena College. Visit the Light the Night website to learn more about the walk and the work the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is doing in your local community.
