We are proud to share that Ron Epstein, Senior Advisor for Transportation & Infrastructure at Ostroff Associates, has been named to City & State New York’s 2026 Trailblazers in Transportation list, a recognition honoring influential leaders who are helping shape the future of transportation across New York.

Ron’s selection reflects a distinguished career spanning more than three decades in transportation and infrastructure policy, planning, and project delivery. Before joining Ostroff Associates, Ron served in senior leadership roles at the New York State Department of Transportation, including as Executive Deputy Commissioner and Chief Financial Officer, where he helped oversee integrated multimodal transportation policy, long-term planning initiatives, and major fiscal strategies for the state.

At Ostroff Associates, Ron advises clients across the transportation sector, including public transit operators and private infrastructure developers, helping them navigate New York’s legislative and budgetary challenges. His work includes guiding major capital projects, securing state and federal funding, and aligning client priorities with the State’s broader transportation, climate, and economic development goals.

Ron is also widely respected at the national level for his deep expertise in federal transportation policy and funding. Over the course of his career, he has chaired committees for the American Public Transportation Association and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, contributed to Transportation Research Board studies, and served in key advisory and leadership roles connected to some of the region’s most important transportation bodies.

This recognition is a well-deserved honor and a testament to Ron’s longstanding leadership, strategic insight, and commitment to strengthening transportation systems and infrastructure across New York.
