Erin joined Ostroff Associates in October 2026, bringing a distinctive combination of legislative experience, economic and energy policy expertise, and an international perspective shaped by work across the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe.
At Ostroff Associates, Erin advises and represents clients before New York State government, helping them navigate complex legislative, regulatory and budgetary matters. She draws on both her direct experience inside the New York State Legislature and her background in economic consulting across a range of policy areas and jurisdictions.
Prior to joining the firm, Erin was a Consultant at Cambridge Economic Policy Associates (CEPA) in London, England, where she advised governments, regulators, and private sector clients on network utility regulation across the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Europe. She developed particular expertise in energy policy, utility rate setting, and the governance of multi-billion-dollar infrastructure investment.
Erin began her career as a Legislative Intern in the New York State Assembly and ultimately served as Deputy Legislative Director to Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr., as well as Clerk to the Assembly Local Governments Committee. In this role, she contributed to statewide local government policy development, drafted and negotiated legislation across a broad policy portfolio, and built relationships with legislators, state and local officials, agencies and community stakeholders. She also played a key role in shepherding significant legislation through the committee process to enactment.
Erin holds a Master of Public Administration from the London School of Economics & Political Science, and a B.A. in Public Policy and Management from the State University of New York at Albany, where she was a recipient of the 2018 Distinguished Achievement in Public Policy Award.
