Ostroff Associates’ Charitable Giving for the Holiday Season

This holiday season Ostroff Associates assisted the Homeless and Travelers Aid Society, the Veterans Miracle Center and the Capital City Rescue Mission in the collection of essential items they need to help serve some of the most vulnerable members of our community. In total, the OA team collected and donated more than 800 goods including clothing, toiletries, household products and food items. Each year it is a privilege to help give back to the community that gives so much to us. The Homeless and Traveler’s Aid Society has been combating, reducing, and preventing homelessness within the Capital Region since 1927. They provide relief by meeting the immediate need for shelter, food and clothing in addition to addressing the long-term need for affordable housing and sustainable employment for those in need.

The mission of the Veterans Miracle Center is to offer veterans and active-duty military personnel real solutions that will enhance their lives. They provide clothing, personal care and hygiene products, houseware items, ambulatory equipment, toys for their children and much more. The center also provides access to specialists and counselors to assist with personal needs, jobs, housing or financing. All goods and services are available free-of-charge to veterans and their immediate household.

The Capital City Rescue Mission provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner 365 days a year to anyone in need as well as emergency shelter and clothing. They also provide a free medical clinic which provides essential primary care for people who are struggling with poverty or homelessness.
